REGULATES PAID FOR SCHOOL TRANSPORT
SEREMI AUDIT LEADS TO TRANSPORTATION INTERCITY PASSENGER TRAVEL IN THE CENTRAL COAST
Of 36 school transport vehicles controlled 7 were offenses carrying no passenger list, technical failures and not having a certificate of special permission granted by the Seremi.
A comprehensive audit plan inspectors conducted Transport Seremi Valparaiso, together with police to verify the correct transfer of passengers in school vehicles during this time.
The checkpoint was conducted in the field of Malvilla, on Route 78, at the entrance to the town of Cartagena, where it was found that school buses are provided with all documentation required by law, to effect transfer passengers.
In total 36 vehicles were checked school bus, 7 of which offenses were not carrying passenger list, technical failures and not having the special authorization certificate issued by the Seremi which allows operation of these services. The Transport
Seremi, Eduardo Gonzalez, said that "the informal transport threatens the safety of passengers, since these vehicles do not have legal approval to develop this activity and thus are not recorded in case of irregularities ".
Gonzalez warned that" will continue to be appropriate controls to protect the safety of holidaymakers. "
In turn, the Regional Transportation Authority said that they are making other controls, for public transportation services, especially urban and rural taxis operating in the province of San Antonio.
